Bavarian Land of Castles
More than a 1000 castles and fortresses once dotted the Upper Palatinate, known as the “Bavarian Land of Castles”. In the Regensburg district alone, 44 castles and castle ruins can be found. They are connected by five rambling routes – the Regensburg Castle Trails.
